training session last night (Monday evening) apart from Jason Koumas who looks doubtful
with a hamstring injury. Both John Hartson and Nathan Blake look like returning to the
side. With Andy Melville suspended - Robert Page is set to take his place. |

return from suspension and are available to play in Norway, Andy Melville is suspended
after his yellow card against Armenia, Robert Page could be recalled. Wales have played
three times on Norwegian soil and have yet to win a game. |

faces a late fitness test on his injured knee. John Robinson looks like taking his place
on the bench.

John Robinson has joined up with the
squad. He played his first match since a hernia operation for Charlton reserves last night
and hopes for a place on the bench. Darren Barnard looks like being fit which is a major
boost for Mark Hughes.
The squad had a training session at the Millennium Stadium this afternoon.

Wales will train at University
of Glamorgan all week with a training session at the Millennium Stadium on Thursday.
Armenia will train at Taffs Well FC and at the Stadium on Friday.

The squad has been hit by injuries to Gary Speed and Mark Pembridge. Speed suffered a
recurrence of his hamstring injury and Pembridge has a calf strain. Players from FA &
SFA Premiership clubs meet up today at 12.30 and had a light training session at 4pm.
Other players will join the squad this evening. The squad will have two training session's
tomorrow. |

Mark Hughes has named a 25-man squad for the matches against Armenia at home and away to
Norway. Forward Gareth Taylor of Burnley has been named as cover for John Hartson and
Nathan Blake who are suspended for the Armenia game. Robbie Savage and John Robinson are
hoping to be fit for both games.
"It's important we finish as far up in the group table as we can, We have
improved a lot as a team in the last couple of years." - Hughes on the World
