    WALES WORLD CUP SQUAD

World Cup 2022 : Wales’ Final Qualifying Squad

In case you were busy, the countdown has started and we only have less than a year to wait for the next World Cup.

So ready your passport or your sports betting brokerage account if you can’t travel to Qatar. Many fans discovered during the lockdown that they can still enjoy watching and betting on football games even at the comfort of their homes.

There are still play-off rounds before the 2022 World Cup fixtures will be finalized. But a few nations have already secured their places for the tournament, so it’s crunch time for Wales to ensure they are fully ready for their final qualifying matches. Read on to find out how Wales is preparing so you can plan how to place winning bets on them.

    Schedules and Wales’ qualifying squad

The 2022 World Cup play-off draw took place last Friday in Zurich. The results are out and we’ll be seeing a Wales vs Austria match for the semi-finals, which will be hosted by Wales on 24 March 2022.

If Wales win, they will be facing off either Scotland or Ukraine on Tuesday, 29 March 2022. This will determine which team will qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Here are the players selected by Welsh football manager Rob Page to be part of his team for the final round of qualifiers:

    •    GK: Wayne Hennessey, Adam Davies, Danny Ward
    •    DF: Chris Gunter, Connor Roberts, Ben Davies, Ethan Ampadu (loan), Joe Rodon, Chris Mepham, Neco Williams, James Lawrence, and Rhys Norrington-Davies
    •    MF: Aaron Ramsey, Jonny Williams, Joe Allen, Harry Wilson, Will Vaulks, Joe Morrell, Brennan Johnson, Sorba Thomas, and Rubin Colwill
    •    FW: Gareth Bale, Kieffer Moore, Daniel James, Mark Harris, and Tyler Roberts

Notable figures are Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey, who may not be enjoying particularly good seasons at club level, but both players remain crucial players for Wales.

While other vital support will come from experienced players like Joe Allen, Chris Gunter, Ben Davies, and Wayne Hennessey. A few younger players were also selected, such as Rubin Colwell, 19, and Brennan Johnson, 20. Ben Cabango and Dylan Levitt were initially selected but have been forced to withdraw due to injuries.
Who are the teams qualified for the World Cup 2022?

Thirteen countries have already reserved their places for the tournament. Currently, the World Cup qualifiers are:

    •    Argentina
    •    Brazil
    •    Belgium
    •    Croatia
    •    Denmark
    •    England
    •    France
    •    Germany
    •    Netherlands
    •    Qatar
    •    Serbia
    •    Spain
    •    Switzerland

Will fans be allowed at the World Cup 2022?

Yes. Next year’s FIFA World Cup will take place in Qatar and according to the prime minister, the country will allow people who are fully vaccinated to watch in person.

The country is also making efforts so the fan experience remains unchanged despite the Sharia law remains strict and there are no notable football origins in Qatar.

The most pressing issues though are the tickets and travel expenses. Many football fans will travel to Doha and fares are expected to rise due to limited supply of flights. Especially at the end of the tournament, as non-football fans are flying via Doha for Christmas as well.

For those who can’t attend, you can watch World Cup 2022 online live telecast FOX Sports as well on streaming channels such as BBC iPlayer, ITV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling TV. For your betting activities, online sports betting sites have proven themselves to be a reliable partner. Gamblers can place bets wherever across a wide range of betting options.

Especially on the best football betting platforms like VOdds, where you can bet for pre-match and live football matches worldwide. In a single betting account, you can immediately start betting on 1x2, Over/Under, as well as the exclusive Asian handicap betting markets.

These features, as well as their big bonuses all year-round, makes VOdds a dependable bet broker in the UK and around the world.
