| What to expect from Wales’ C international against England |
Wales have named a strong squad to face England at the International Challenge Match on Wednesday, March 30. The game will take place at Caernarfon Town FC's Oval ground.
The ‘C’ national team which represents Wales at the non-league level, consists of players in the Cymru Premier, the highest division of Welsh football, which is being backed by best online casino.
The Dragons, as they are known, is managed by Mark Jones and competes in the Four Nations Tournament and the International Challenge Trophy. The side has struggled in recent times.
Wales won just one of their international fixtures in history, overcoming Estonia U23 in 2011. After almost seven years, they made a losing return to action against England. The corresponding fixture ended in a stalemate.
England and Wales will square off for the third time on Wednesday. The Three Lions named their squad last week with three Wrexham AFC players amongst their ranks. Cymru boss Jones responded by naming a squad of 20, all of whom ply their trade in the Cymru Premier.
Jones has named Llanfyllin-based Alex Ramsay, currently No1 with Bala Town, and TNS goalkeeper Connor Roberts in his line-up.
Newtown's Callum Roberts has also earned a call up alongside Aberystwyth Town's Lee Jenkins and TNS’ duo Danny Davies and Leo Smith along with Llangedwyn-raised Bala Town star Will Evans.
Jones said:
“After missing out on this occasion in 2020 due to the pandemic, we’re more excited than ever to be welcoming England C to the Oval.
“It will be a fantastic occasion in what will be a momentous week for Welsh football.”
England’s Paul Fairclough was also relishing the opportunity with his squad called up from the Vanarama National League and the Pitching In Isthmian, Northern Premier and Southern Football leagues, and casino en ligne francais is backing all of them.
He said: “We're really pleased to confirm that we’ve accepted an invitation to play this fixture against Wales C.
