Players ruled out Feb 12, 2004

Ben Thatcher will not start the friendly international against Scotland. The Leicester City defender who is eligible to play for Wales under a new FIFA ruling is ruled because his clearance hearing is not until Thursday 19th February. Wales play Scotland the night before in Cardiff. If given the ok by FIFA he will be selected in the squad to face Hungary at the end of March.

Both Mark Delaney and Craig Bellamy look set to miss the game due to injuries sustained playing for their clubs. John Hartson is also doubtful after missing Celtic’s last SPL matches with a back injury.

Confirmation that both Mark Delaney and Nathan Blake have been ruled out.

Squad news Feb 10, 2004

The majority of the squad will meet on Saturday evening ahead of the game on Wednesday 18th February. The squad will have its first training session at the team HQ on the Sunday afternoon, with a further training session at the Millennium Stadium before the game. Players who are playing for their clubs on Sunday will join up with the squad thereafter. At the moment there are no players on standby.
