Wales football news - December 2003.

Scotland game
Wales will play Scotland at the Millennium Stadium in a friendly international on the 18th February next year.

The Scots should be excellent preparation for Mark Hughes’ boys with both Northern Ireland and England in Wales’ World Cup qualifying group.

Kick off for the game will not be confirmed until the New Year. Ticket arrangements should be confirmed around mid January.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Mark Hughes to begin his preparations for the World Cup qualifying campaign. A lot of supporters have requested this match and now that it’s confirmed we hope that everyone gets down to Cardiff for 18th February for another big crowd.” said Mark Evans – FAW

"From a footballing point of view, because it will give us a game against British opposition prior to meeting England and Northern Ireland in the World Cup" - Mark Hughes.
