U-19s - The Future.
Despite the poor results, the U19s have put in some promising performances at the Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland.

The side are taking part in the annual competition as preparation for the UEFA mini-tournament in Belarus in September. It is worth noting that the other teams in the tournament are generally one year older than our team. Also we use the competition to prepare for the forthcoming season whilst the other teams use it as the end of their season.

"Robert Williams of Leicester continues to impress whilst Matthew Collins of Fulham is still one for the future." said an FAW spokesman.

Focus on Wales.
Mark Hughes has made a point of saying that his focus is 100% on Wales and reaching the Euro 2004 finals.

He claims the only issue on his mind at the moment are the four upcoming qualifying matches with the match against Serbia & Montenegro at Belgrade being uppermost in his mind.

He points out that he doesn't know whether the appointment of a new manager Bora Milutonovic is a good or bad thing. When Dejan Savicevic was in charge Serbia was experiencing problems. A new manager often gives a team a new impetus but his ideas can also take a while to work Hughes says.

"If we play as we can, I feel confident of our chances in Belgrade" - Mark Hughes.
