| How wrong could
we be 'Still in with a chance? To be honest I
don't think so!" was the headline we wrote.
Let's start by echoing Sparky and give credit to
the boys, they performed really well against
Belarus far better than in any previous matches.
In the second half they wanted know, and got
their foot on the ball and started to play a bit,
they must have a had game plan laid out by the
manager and for a change they stuck to it. Lets not kid ourselves, we
are still just not at a good enough level to
compete against the top sides, so therefore we
must perform at our top level everytime we play
quality opposition, and then employ the relevant
tactics against them.
The tactics
employed by Wales against Belarus were perfect,
we got at them and stopped them playing,
restricting them to long range efforts (cannot do
that to often as everytime we seem to play
against the Eastern European's they score great
goals i.e. Georgia, Moldova, Romania etc need I
go on).
So let's look
forward to Switzerland in October, and just hope
we are in with a shout of the Euro 2000
play-offs.
Cymru am
byth.
Wales "No

1. No more 5-3-2
formation's.
2. No more conceding a goal within the first 20
mins.

matches. (must play every game when fit!).
