Ryan Bassett (Swansea City) born 2004, Defender.
As a youngster, Ryan was affiliated with Carmarthen’s academy teams but has since that time moved to Swansea and is a first year scholar at the club this season. He has been playing fairly regularly for their U-18 team this season and has made appearances in a little more than half of their matches so far.

Charlie Bullock, Jack Kardogan, Midfielders. Dixon Kabongo Defender. (Newport County) all born 2004.
Charlie, Jack and Dixon were signed by Newport shortly after the start of the season as the club completed their intake of new scholars for this season. All three successfully negotiated a trial period prior to the eventual decision to employ them and they have been playing for the U-18 team since that time. Jack was a member of the Wales schoolboy squad that competed in last season’s Victory Shield games. I have included Charlie and Dixon as also being eligible for Wales having seen an indication that this is so on an independent website but cannot confirm that it is correct.

Joel Green (Newcastle United) born 2004, Defender.
Another member of last season’s Wales schoolboy Victory Shield squad, Joel is a first year scholar at Newcastle and has played a few times for their U-18 team this season. He was also in the Wales U-17 squad that assembled for a training camp in March.

Cian Halpin (Stevenage) born 2003, Forward.
I think I am correct in saying that Cian is a second year scholar with Stevenage and has been playing for their U-18 team both last season and this one. He was involved with the Wales schoolboy teams and played in the 2017 Cymru Cup matches. His name was also included on Neil’s list of those who were in last season’s national U-17 extended squad.

Ryan Holmes (MK Dons) born 2004, Forward.
Ryan is in his first season as a scholar with the Dons and has been playing alongside brother James for the club’s U-18 team. As best as I can tell he has had a good season and has been in good goalscoring form. Ryan played for Wales at U-15 level and was also in this season’s U-17 squad that attended the recent training camp.

Joe Jeremiah (Forest Green Rovers) born 2003, Forward.
A second year scholar with Rovers, I have indicated Joe’s position as a forward based on the only line-up I have been able to locate for the U-18 team at the club. It was for an FA Youth Cup tie in which Joe was one of the scorers. I had previously thought that he was a defender and so I am not sure if this is a position change or that I was incorrect.

Louis Lloyd (Shrewsbury Town) born 2003, Forward.
Shrewsbury signed Louis from the Connah’s Quay Nomads academy and he is now a first year scholar at the club. He has certainly made a good impression as he was included in the first team squad and made an appearance on the bench for the team in an early season league game. He was then named on the bench for a couple of EFL Trophy games a few weeks later and was given a debut when introduced very late in the first of those matches. He has been mainly playing for the U-18 team and has seemingly been scoring regularly for them.

Joshua Rippon, Defender, Rhys Schwank, Forward, (Cardiff City) born 2003.
Both Josh and Rhys were given an introduction to U-18 football, playing a few games for the team last season when still members of the Cardiff academy. This season, as first year scholars, they have been used on a more frequent basis. Josh has appeared in around three quarters of the games and Rhys in about half of them. Rhys has also been injured half the season restricting his playing time.

Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE Robson Shipley (Huddersfield Town) born 2003, Forward.
Robson is a member of this season’s U-19 squad at Huddersfield as he completes his time as a scholar at the club. He initially played for Wales at U-16 level and was then a member of last season’s U-17 squad that qualified for the eventually cancelled elite round of the European Championships for that age group.

George Walters (Burnley) born 2003, Forward.
George was a member of the Wales schoolboy squad that competed in the 2018/19 Victory Shield matches and at that time was affiliated with the Manchester United academy. He has now moved to Burnley and this season is a first year scholar at the club. He has been playing in some games for their U-18 team this season.

++ to be confirmed if eligible for Wales
