Gwion Edwards (Swansea/St Johnstone - midfielder) Scored just over ten minutes after coming on as a sub as his side beat Hamilton Accies 3-0. Edwards' goal helped St Johnstone secure a place in the Scottish League Cup quarter final.
Declan John (Cardiff City - defender) Was another youngster to benefit from a squad rotation policy by his club in the Capitol One Cup. John played 90 minutes as the Bluebirds lost 3-2 to West Ham.
Lloyd Jones (Liverpool - defender) Played his last game for suspension as the U21's beat Man City 2-0 on Monday night. Jones has been in fine form for the development side this season - it is not known whether he is still considering his options on the international front.
Alex Nicholson (Preston - defender) Has finally signed a contract at Preston until the end of the season. Nicholson has impressed Simon Grayson and will wear the number 28 shirt.

Louis Thompson (Swindon - midfielder) Played 90 minutes as Swindon beat Bristol City 3-2 last weekend. The Wales U19 internationals performance was described as superb by manager Mark Cooper. Thompson also made a substitute appearance as Swindon lost to Chelsea in the Capitol One Cup.
Jordan Williams (Liverpool - midfielder) Made his first appearance in 12 months as the U18's played Norwich at Kirby last Saturday. Williams played 30 minutes in the 3-3 draw.
