A 3-1 defeat against Scotland in the Nations Cup for Wales. Goalscorer for Wales was in the first half was Rob Earnshaw.

GOALS: Earnshaw 36; Morrison 55, Miller 64, Berra 70.

Adam Matthews has joined the squad as a late replacement for James Collins, who has a groin injury.

Robert Earnshaw will captain the side as Gary Speed will rest a number of Premier League players.

Norwich City midfielder, Owain Tudur Jones has joined the squad, h
e has been added to the squad after several withdrawals and an availability doubt over Coventry City's Freddy Eastwood.

David Edwards (Wolves) has also been forced-out of the squad due to injury.

Both Ched Evans and Lewin Nyatanga are out due to injury.

Craig Morgan
is called up as replacement for Nyatanga. Also called up are Jermaine Easter and Andy Dorman. Squad meet up over the weekend.

Also out are Ashley Williams, Joe Allen, Simon Church and Hal Robson-Kanu due to club duties. Also out due to injuries from the stand by list are Brian Stock and Christina Ribeiro. Joe Ledley is also out.



Gary Speed has named the squad for the Carling Nations Cup matches in Dublin later this month. A larger squad than usual has been named to allow for Football League play-off commitments and fitness concerns with some players. The matches are against Scotland on Wednesday 25th May and Northern Ireland on Friday 27th May. Both to kick off at 7.45pm

Wales travel to Dublin at the end of May to face Scotland and Northern Ireland in the Nations Cup.

Gary Speed will announce the squad now on Wenesday 11th May, at the Carden Park Hotel at around 3pm.

The Wales manager is set to name a bumper a 30-man squad. Speed was at Ashton gate on Saturday running the rule of Lewin Nyatanga and young gun James Wilson. Gareth Bale is out for the rest season as well as Sam Ricketts. Several players will miss the games as they will be involved in play off matches for their clubs. Jack Collison is set for a recall after over 12 months out due to injury.
