The Semi Professional side had to settle for a point in their opening International Challenge Trophy match against Norhern Ireland. Goalscorers for Wales were Jack Christopher and Craig Moses.

Terry Boyle has named the Wales Semi-Pro Under 23 squad, for the game against Northern Ireland later this month. "A win would set us up nicely in the Group after the other two sides (Poland and Portugal) drew in their opening game. There are plenty of goals in the squad, so we'll go there with confidence and hopefully come away with all three points".

Aberystwyth Town midfielder Luke Sherbon and Bangor City striker Jamie Reed are the shock call-ups, both are beneficiaries of the new FIFA ruling on eligibility.
