A 3-0 defeat for Brian Flynn’s Under 19 side against Portugal in their first UEFA Under 19 Group 8 qualifier. Wales were behind after only 3 minutes when Relvas Oliveira put Portugal ahead. Nuno Reis made it 2-0 after 58 minutes, Goncalves Freitas added a third late on. Wales rarely threaten as Portugal ran out comfortable winners.
Wales now face hosts Spain on Thursday.
