WOMEN: Azerbaijan 2 Wales 1

A 2-1 defeat for Wales against Azerbaijan in their fourth Group 8 qualifying match of the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. Goalscorer for Wales was Helen Lander.

Next matches are in March 2010, away against Belgium on 28th, and home against Sweden on 31st.  Venues are to be confirmed.


CZECH REPUBLIC 2 WALES 1
A 2-1 defeat for Wales against the Czech Republic  in their third Group 8 qualifying match of the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. Goalscorer for Wales was Jessica Fishlock after 17 minutes. Next up is a trip to Baku to face Azerbaijan on Wednesday (28th October 2009).
