Wales Women played their final match in the Portuguese Algarve Cup this morning (Friday).

They drew 2-2 with the Republic of Ireland. Goal scorers were: Milly Durrant (Langford) (6 minutes) and Michelle Green (Merthyr Tydfil) (88 minutes). In the penalty shoot-out, Wales lost 4-3.

The Wales Women's team lost 2-0 top Greece this afternoon in the Portuguese Algarve Cup.

Wales will now play a final play-off game to determine their final standing in the competition on Thursday.

Wales Women played their second match in the Portuguese Algarve Cup this afternoon (Sunday) against the Republic of Ireland.

The score was:

Wales 1 Republic of Ireland 3

Goal scorer for Wales was: Ayshea Martyn (Arsenal) 25 minutes.

In the other match in the group, Greece and Portugal drew 1-1. Wales now plays Greece on Tuesday.

The Wales women's team drew their opening match of the Algarve Cup this afternoon 1-1 with Portugal in Lagoa.

Goal scorer for Wales was Cheryl Foster (Bangor City) after 47 minutes. Portugal had earlier taken the lead after 11 minutes.

Wales thoroughly deserved the draw with a solid all-round performance which pleased manager Sian Williams.

Wales now play the Republic of Ireland on Sunday afternoon in Guia.
