Wales 1 Portugal 2
The Under 19 side lost 2-1 to Portugal this afternoon in Minsk,
Belarus in their European Youth Championship Qualifying Group 7 game.
The Welsh side played exceptionally well against the group favourites and
put in a thoroughly disciplined performance. Portugal held a 1-0 advantage
at half time and scored again in the second half from a goal that looked
well offside.
Wales never gave up and scored a last minute penalty from Michael Parkins of
Cardiff City.
Wales now play Greece in Minsk on Wednesday, followed by hosts Belarus on
Friday. courtesy of the FAW
