Azerbaijan  v Wales U-21. - Shafa Stadium, Baku.

Azerbaijan (0) 0

Wales (0) 1
   Crowell 85

A goal 5 minutes from time by substitute Matthew Crowell earned Glyn Hodges’ side a 1-0 victory at the Shafa Stadium, Baku. Wales were reduced to 10 men after 58 minutes when Stuart Jones was sent off for a second bookable offence.

"I was very pleased with them all. It was a difficult pitch and we had a man sent off. You don't know what you are going to get thrown at you when you come to places like this, they certainly don't roll out the red carpet, but you have to learn to cope with things and I feel these lads are growing up and learning very fast at this level." - manager Glyn Hodges.
