The U-21's earned their second successive victory in Group 9 with a 1-0 win against Azerbaijan at Jenner Park, Barry.

David Pipe gave Wales the lead after 7 minutes. Both teams were down to 10 men after 29 minutes with Rhys Day being sent off for Wales after an off the ball incident. A James Collins spot kick just before half time should have given the home side a 2-0 lead at the break.
