Armenia v Wales - U21 - Uefa 2002
Match Details

Armenia (0) 1 Wales (0) 0
Akopyan 83

The U21's crashed to their fourth consecutive defeat in Group 5. A 83rd minute goal by substitute Aram Akopyan denied the team their first point in Abovyan.

Wales had plenty of possession but chances were few and far between. Layton Maxwell came closest to scoring with an effort that hit the post late on.

"There have been games when we have not performed well and deserved to get beaten, but the lads didn't deserve what they got from that game. I feel sorry for them." - coach Jimmy Shoulder.
