Wales v Norway - U21 - Uefa 2002

Match Details

Wales (0) 0 Norway (1) 2
  Ludvigsen 9,63

This was a much-improved performance from the U-21's, but they still went down to a 2-0 defeat at Vetch Field. Norway took the lead when Ryan Green's back header was intercepted by Ludvigsen, who raced into the box to score.

Wales' second-half display was impressive as they maintained possession and pressure for long spells. The equaliser almost came after 57 minutes when Stuart Roberts' shot was blocked, only then for Robert Earnshaw's flick to be cleared off the line.

Norway made it 2-0 after 63 minutes when Ludvigsen shot from the right hit the roof of the net from an acute angle.

The U-21's have now gone 16 matches without a win.
