Wales third kit. The 3rd kit will be released on Friday 12th August
Kappa
is pleased to introduce the new Wales Kombat 2005, to
be used as a third kit and dedicated to the memory of
legend John Charles, who passed away in February of
last year.
Reflecting on the past successes achieved
by Charles in his brilliant career at various clubs,
the Kappa design team drew on this inspiration to realise
the new Kombat 2005. With the use of black in honour
of Charles memory, the white from his days at Leeds,
combined in a striped insert to represent his time at
Juventus, and importantly the red of Wales, in which
he represented his nation proudly.
In terms
of technical features, the Kombat 2005 maintains the
Kombat philosophy, with a tailored fitting and look,
with stretch properties. The shell fabric is in pique
for breathability with a composition of 95% polyamide
and 5% lycra with a weight of 110gram/sqm of fabric.
The sleeve, neck and bottom borders are in jersey with
a composition of 92% polyamide and 8% Lycra.
The
shirt will be seen for the first time on August 17th
when Wales plays Slovenia in a friendly game in preparation
for remaining World Cup Qualifiers.
